HR Executive dashboard
Problem Statement: The company set quarterly hiring goals by department, but recruiting managers lacked visibility into progress throughout the quarter. Recruiters told their managers they expected to finalize hires or convert offers by quarter’s end, but that did not always happen. This would lead to surprise and misalignment when targets weren’t met. Additionally, Directors and VPs shared that they lacked visibility into the full organizational picture and were overwhelmed by fragmented reports.
Solution: To solve the problem, I created an Executive Summary Dashboard that consolidated key KPIs into a single, self-serve view for easier, more strategic decision-making. I also developed a pacing model to show each department’s progress toward hiring goals and illustrate if they were on pace or behind given where they were in the quarter. This enabled recruiting managers to make real-time adjustments—such as streamlining the interview process or prioritizing engagement from slow-moving hiring managers.
Tools Used: I extracted candidate data from ATS systems like Greenhouse and Workday, then used SQL to clean and aggregate it. Lastly, utilized Tableau to transform the raw data into insightful visualizations. My dashboards have illuminated patterns and trends in the data and enabled organizations to make informed decisions around things like Time to Hire, Cost to Hire, DEI initiatives, medication management, and other cost saving programs.
Impact: Having an analytics manager skilled in Tableau means businesses can glean real-time insights into their operations, allowing them to make data-driven decisions that can improve their bottom line. By having access to up-to-date information on key performance indicators (KPIs), businesses can identify areas for improvement and make changes that can lead to increased efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
